Dear Editor,
My grandmother, Constance H. Bixby, is turning 94 this year on Friday, Nov. 20. She has lived in Ludlow all of her life and was the head librarian at the Fletcher Memorial Library for 50-plus years. She started there as a teenager.
I would like to invite the community to send her birthday cards by Nov. 20. It would absolutely make her day.
With Covid-19, she can only see visitors through the porch window. She tells stories constantly of the old Ludlow. Her husband, Francis Bixby of Ludlow, was a very well known, all-around great guy. Her memories of all the locals is strong so if anybody who ever spent time with her could send cards, that would be cherished.
