LTE: Thanks to Ludlow Cemetery Commissioners and staff

Dear Town Manager Penny Wu, Ludlow Cemetery Commissioners, and the cemetery foreman and sexton,

I am writing to share our sincere appreciation for the exceptional maintenance and care of the Pleasant View Cemetery. My husband and I live nearby in Bridgewater, and during a recent visit with family from Connecticut, we were once again struck by the beauty of the scenery.

The well-kept rock walls and the overall atmosphere make it a truly memorable final resting place for our dear friend Mary. We are particularly impressed by the recent installation of the new QR code signs; a member of your crew previously took the time to explain how this system simplifies locating loved ones, which is a wonderful and thoughtful resource.

We also want to commend the hard work of your staff. During a visit last year, our husbands had the opportunity to personally thank three employees who were working diligently on the grounds. While we did not see the crew during our most recent visit, we would like to extend an offer to donate a variety of perennials from our own gardens to be added to the cemetery grounds if they would be of use. If the groundskeepers are interested, they are more than welcome to contact us.

Please share our gratitude and these sentiments with the entire work crew and relevant town officials. Thank you for your dedication to maintaining such a respectful and beautiful space for the community and our loved ones.

Sincerely,

Greg and Sue Skaskiw, and Jeff and Maggie Tonning
