Dear Editor,
On behalf of Okemo Valley TV, I would like to thank the voters of Ludlow and Plymouth for approving increases to our funding from budget appropriations from each town. As many know, one of our longstanding core services is the “gavel-to-gavel” coverage of municipal meetings, which provides not only an opportunity for residents to stay informed on the issues affecting their town, but also unfettered and unedited access to their government bodies in action. We record, stream, broadcast, and archive all official government meetings in each town. In recent years, this part of our work has increased, with the adoption of “hybrid” meetings and the new requirements in Vermont’s Open Meeting Law.
We value the partnerships we have with the towns, and appreciate the support from the voters for the services that we provide.
We’d also like to thank the voters in Cavendish, Andover, and Mount Holly for supporting our level-funded appropriation requests in those towns for the coming year.
