GRAFTON, Vt. – The Windham Foundation is a nonprofit based in Grafton, Vt., that works to strengthen Grafton and advance the vitality of rural communities in Vermont. The foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its most recent round of grants.
Twenty-six Vermont-based nonprofits received a total of $115,000 in financial support. Funded projects included programs focused on avian wildlife rehabilitation, statewide river conservation, workforce development, food assistance, economic development, and agricultural education. The full list of recipients is: Benson Village Trust, Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, Bull Creek Common Lands Inc., Central Vermont Adult Basic Education Inc., Connecticut River Conservancy, Food Connects, Green Mountain Conservancy Inc., Green Mountain Farm-to-School, Intervale Center, New England Kurn Hattin Homes, Lyndon Downtown Revitalization Corporation, Montpelier Alive, Neighborhood Connections, Putney Foodshelf, Salvation Farms, Springfield Family Center, St. Brigid’s Kitchen and Pantry, Technology for Tomorrow Inc., Tri-Valley Transit, Valley Court Diversion Program, Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, Vermont Farms Food Center, Vermont River Conservancy, Vermont Institute of Natural Science, Vermont Outdoor Business Alliance, and The Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association.
