PUTNEY, Vt. – Twilight Music and Next Stage Arts Project continue the 23rd Twilight on the Tavern Lawn series of folk, world, jazz, zydeco, bluegrass, pop, and Americana music summer concerts, on Sunday, July 26, with Kwartetto Mambo. The seven-concert series continues every other Sunday through Aug. 23. All concerts begin at 6 p.m., on the Putney Tavern lawn, bring a lawn chair or blanket, or at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in case of rain.

The series is sponsored by Next Stage, the Town of Putney, and many Putney-area businesses and organizations. The concerts are free to the public, donations are accepted, and food will be available.

Kwartetto Mambo includes John Clark (french horn), Wes Brown (bass, piano), Julian Gerstin (congas, percussion), and Dan DeWalt (piano, trombone). The band members draw on their collective 200+ years of musical immersion to compose pieces reflecting African, Latin, and jazz roots, and exploring the endless realm of rhythmic and metrical possibilities. They also feature contemporary jazz tunes, Latin classics, and a little free improvisation and imaginative rearrangements of pop standards.
