BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – Creative teens are invited to step behind the camera this summer during a weeklong teen film camp made possible through a partnership between the Rockingham Free Public Library and FACT TV. Taking place July 6-10, from 12-2 p.m. daily, the camp is open to ages 11 and older and offers a hands-on introduction to filmmaking, from storytelling and scriptwriting, to filming, acting, and editing.
Throughout the week, participants will explore every stage of the filmmaking process, from developing characters and writing scripts, to storyboarding, filming, acting, and editing. Working together as a production team, teens will take on roles such as director, actor, camera operator, sound technician, producer, and editor while creating their own original short films. The camp will conclude with a special movie premiere where families can celebrate the completed films and the accomplishments of the young filmmakers.
The camp is free, but registration is required, and space is limited. For more information or to register, contact the Rockingham Free Public Library at 802-463-4270, email youthservices@rockinghamlibrary.org, or visit the library at 65 Westminster Street in Bellows Falls.
