SAXTONS RIVER, Vt. – As part of the Sunday Music in the Park series, Jake Grieco & Co. will perform on Sunday, Aug. 16, at 3 p.m., in the small amphitheater at Saxtons River Park.
With influences ranging from folk, Americana, rock, Celtic, and bluegrass, Jake & Co. will bring engaging instrumental grooves, chunky guitar, and rich harmonies as they play a curated mix of contemporary, traditional, and timeless gems.
The band consists of Jake Greico on guitar, foot percussion, shruti box and vocals, joined on some selections by his father, Mark Grieco, on vocal harmonies, and Jacob Quinney on electric guitar. Jake Grieco is a native of Rockingham. In his late 20s, he ventured to Portland, Ore., for its vibrant music scene, spending 12 years there. While in Oregon, he recorded an album with his trio Outbound Traveler, titled “Go On and Wander,” available on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
The Saxtons River Park Committee is sponsoring the concert, which is free and open to all.
Amphitheater seating and benches are available, and guests are also welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Saxtons River Park is located at the corner of Main and Westminster streets in Saxtons River. In the event of rain, the concert will be held across the street at Main Street Arts.
