LUDLOW, Vt. – Create Together at Fletcher Farm, a cultural anchor of the Okemo Valley for more than 75 years (formerly known as the Fletcher Farm Art & Craft Center), has announced a pair of dynamic “Friend & Fund Raiser” events designed to introduce the community to its newly rebranded vision and secure vital funding for year-round local arts programming.
The two-part event series, themed “Keep Creativity Afloat,” offers full-time and part-time residents a unique opportunity to connect over community art activities outside of the region’s traditional sports and outdoor recreation scene.
“In 2025, we rebranded as Create Together to ensure that no one in the Okemo Valley is priced out, pushed out, or left out of a rich creative life,” said the organization. “Today, we face a bit of an identity crisis: Many neighbors don’t know we exist, while others only know who we were. This series is about changing that narrative, making new friends, raising vital funds, and shaping our collective future.”
The series features two distinct lakefront experiences. The first is “Barn Quilt Paint & Sip” on Friday, Sept. 19, from 1-5 p.m., at Lake Rescue in Ludlow, Vt., hosted by Amy and Steve Fisher. Guests will enjoy a guided painting and social afternoon focused on crafting traditional Vermont barn quilts while enjoying seasonal beverages.
The second event is “Dock Party & Photo Tips” on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 1-5 p.m., at Round Pond, in Ludlow, Vt., hosted by Amit Khanna. A relaxed afternoon gathering by the water featuring professional photography insights and styling tips to help capture the beauty of the changing seasons.
The fundraiser series is made possible through the generous support of community partners, including hosts Amy and Steve Fisher, and Amit Khanna, featured local artists Piper Strong and Karen Leonard, and corporate sponsor LaValley Building Supply.
