Community members invited to create vibrant bluebird mural

LONDONDERRY, Vt. – The Londonderry Arts & Historical Society invites community members of all ages and skill levels to participate in a free, hands-on community art event. The Community Blue Bird Mural Workshop will take place over two consecutive Saturdays, July 11 and July 18, from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at the historic Custer Sharp House, located at 2461 Middletown Rd, Londonderry, Vt.

Led by local art teacher, professional artist, and muralist Kim Ray, this collaborative workshop offers participants a unique opportunity to sketch, paint, and learn about the beauty and ecology of eastern bluebirds. The event is completely free of charge, and all necessary art supplies will be provided.

β€œArt has a unique power to connect us to the natural world and to each other,” says Ray. “This project is designed to spark a shared appreciation for our local wildlife while giving everyone, regardless of age or experience, a hand in creating a lasting piece of community public art.”

No prior registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably in clothes appropriate for painting. For more information, please contact Ray at 802-353-0792.
