WESTON, Vt. – Come to Weston’s Town Green on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4-6 p.m., for a special Blue Flames Steel Band concert.
Bring a picnic, family, and friends, and listen to some wonderful music thanks to the enchanting Blue Flames Steel Band, who for the 16th year are donating their talent and goodwill to this festive community celebration.
One hundred forty years ago, nine pioneer women turned a smelly frog pond and muddy swamp into what is now called the most beautiful town green in Vermont. The “Ladies of the Green,” in the spirit of their ancestors, welcome all to join in sharing their spirit of community and to provide some assistance to help our beloved playhouse recover from the devasting floods of 2023.
All contributions will benefit the Weston Community Association’s restoration of the Weston Playhouse.
