Bellows Falls Open Studio Weekend

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – The Vermont Crafts Council’s annual spring Open Studio tour is Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24. The studios are open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. This year, the annual statewide tour hosts more than 140 artists and galleries.

Artists participating in Bellows Falls (Rockingham) are Chris Sherwin, Robert McBride, River Artisans Cooperative, Nick Kekic, Mindy Fisher, Clare Adams, and Fourth Corner Foundation, We will be highlighting artists, events, shops, and restaurants that contribute year-round to the vital and cultural richness and economic stability of our community,” says McBride, founder and director of The Rockingham Arts & Museum Project (RAMP, www.ramp-vt.org).

This year, The Fourth Corner Foundation Gallery in Windham, Vt., is participating as a gallery and information hub for the Vermont Crafts Council Open Studio tour. The Fourth Corner Foundation is a unique architectural project, founded by Robert Shannon in the 1970s. It has become a destination for gardeners, artists, musicians, and those interested in the whimsical and dynamic structures designed by Shannon. The gallery has shown the work of world-renowned artists, such as “Solidarity: Fabric, Thread and Needle.” The 2026 Summer Sampler exhibit, on view May 22 – Oct. 8, will host the work of more than 35 local artists and artisans including paintings, sculpture, glass, clay, and jewelry. The gallery and gardens are open on weekdays, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and on weekends by appointment. For more information, visit www.thefourthcornerfoundation.org or contact info@4cfoundation.org.

Bellows Falls is a walkable community. It is a pleasant walk between the studios downtown. Give yourself time to grab lunch or a snack and shop at Moondog, Rockingham Roasters, Flat Iron Cooperative Cafe, or Jamaican Jewelz. Village Square Booksellers, Arch Bridge Books, and Windham Antiques, as well as J&H Hardware and Halladay’s are all worth checking out as you walk from studio to studio. It is a scenic drive to Clare Adams’ studio in Cambridgeport and then to the Fourth Corner Foundation in Windham.
