SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Gallery at the Vault is happy to offer an easy accordion-books workshop with Deborah Stuart on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 2-4 p.m.
Accordion books are a favorite with book artists. Using different folds, interesting little books and hanging structures can be made. They can be used in so many ways and are fun to create. Their pages can close like a book and open like a sculpture.
In this workshop, you will learn two ways to make this structure. There will be a great assortment of papers and art tools for decorating the pages of the books. No previous experience is necessary, but this would also work for those who have done some bookmaking and would like further skills.
The cost of the workshop is discounted for gallery members, and includes materials. Register by Wednesday, Sept. 16.
