CHESTER, Vt. – DaVallia invites you to a special fine art exhibition. “Abundance” is the third exhibition in their new “Curated Collection” series. The show will be Sept. 1 – Oct. 27. The gallery will open on Friday, Sept. 1, at 4 p.m., with an opening reception from 4-7 p.m. to launch the show.
DaVallia Gallery is taking a new approach to their events this year. They are pleased to introduce “Curated Collections,” which will be a series of exhibitions focused on a selected theme. Every six weeks, the gallery will feature a new body of artwork that will be curated in conjunction with their furniture and décor collection. The new collection will be available starting at 4 p.m. on opening day. The opening reception will be a wonderful evening, and an opportunity to get first dibs on great new pieces and meet the artists. The series is designed to provide inspiration and a new experience upon each visit. It will also allow the gallery to showcase more work, and support a larger network of regional artists.
The third exhibition, “Abundance,” is about how Fall is upon us, and it feels as if abundance is everywhere. Everything feels a little surreal. The light is different, as if it pours through the fallen leaves in dappled light. Fields are full and ready for the last harvests. Even the smell is different, as dead leaves below our feet return once again to the soil. In a spiritual context, the notion of abundance is an appreciation of life in its fullness, joy, and strength of mind, body, and soul. This is the cultivation of respect for the creative energy of the universe.
