LUDLOW, Vt. – The annual Okemo Ski and Snowboard Swap to benefit Okemo Mountain School is scheduled Nov. 22-24 in a new location at the Jackson Gore Roundhouse. The swap is the place to gear up for the winter with new and used gear at great prices. Skiers and snowboarders will find everything they need to get out on the slopes this season – skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, helmets, goggles, outerwear, and more. Proceeds benefit Okemo Mountain School in Ludlow, Vt. Hours will be Friday, Nov. 22, 4 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For those interested in selling used gear, consignments will be accepted. Donated equipment will also be accepted. All donations are tax-deductible. Gear must be dropped off in advance at Okemo’s Round House at the Jackson Gore base area. Equipment donations and consignment sales will only be accepted Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Okemo Mountain School is a non-profit educational institution dedicated to the academic and athletic development of serious snow sports athletes. Student athletes are given the opportunity to train in alpine ski racing, snowboarding, and freestyle skiing, while pursuing a rigorous course of academic study. Okemo Mountain School relies heavily on fundraisers like the swap to help keep tuition affordable.
