LANGDON, N.H. – The Fall Mountain Special Olympic team participated in the New Hampshire State Bowling Games Saturday, Nov. 2 at Yankee Lanes in Keene, N.H. The team brought 14 athletes to partake in the competition. It was a day filled with solid performances from all the athletes.
Special Olympics places athletes into divisions based on their practice scores. The team practices for 10 weeks and reports their scores. This enables the divisions to be as evenly matched as possible. FMSO had a very successful day with six athletes taking home gold medals in their respective divisions.
These are the results for each individual athlete: Sean Anderson, gold; Jacob Barboza, bronze; Patrick Cannon, gold; Dalton Hutchinson, gold; Sara Johnson, bronze; Edwin LaFave, gold; Rachel Maxim, bronze; Mark Pebbles, silver; Bonnie Pelton, gold; Mariah Pratt, silver; Russell Putnam, bronze; Olivia Rounds, fourth place; Jonathan Short, silver; and Eric Swain, gold.
FMSO now moves onto their winter season where they will have athletes participate in snowshoe racing, alpine skiing, and snowboarding.
