LUDLOW, Vt. – The Crown Point Board of Realtors wishes to thank all the sponsors, players, and volunteers for the huge success we had during our fourth annual Golf for a Cause Tournament held at the Okemo Valley Golf Course. On Monday, June 3, 12 teams braved the chilly weather to participate in this year’s fundraiser, which raised close to $7,000, giving us the opportunity to lend a hand to local families when they need it most. Since last year’s event, CPBR has helped 10 local families who suffered losses from fires and other tragic events.

At the tournament, Benson’s Chevrolet sponsored a Chevy Trax giveaway for hitting a hole-in-one, as well as several other hole-in-one prizes. Nobody won the car, but everyone went away with a prize. Thanks to the generosity Casey Compton, each participant also left with a gift certificate for a free pizza at Mangiamo’s Italian and Outback Pizza.

The lucky last placed team, which will be left unnamed, won a pound of Singleton’s bacon for each player. Closest to the pin prizes went to Tyler Rumrill, Steve Cardarelli, and Tyler Butterick.
