LANGDON, N.H. – This past Friday evening, Oct. 19, 2018 at the Fall Mountain Wildcat Den, another win had been chalked up for the Scrappy and Roaring Wildcats. The game was against Mascoma, with a final score of 28-14. This brings the Wildcats to an even record of 3-3, which puts them into contention for a playoff berth in the New Hampshire Division IV.

Assistant Coach Tom Boudro said, “Our defensive line and linebackers are some of the best in our division. All other teams are going to face a battle with them.”

Assistant Coach Smokey Aumand added, “Not many people out there thought the boys could do this, but here they are strong, fast, and not ready to lose. Varsity football is here.”

Standout players for the game included Tyler Swain with a 75-yard broken field kick off return and 10 defensive tackles; Morgan Wilbur with 61 yards rushing and a much needed fumble recovery and a 3-yard touchdown run down the middle; Owen Marandino who caught a pass from Jacob Shoemaker for a 46-yard touchdown; Fermin Gomez added 12 more huge tackles to his resume, giving him 64 in six games; and Justin Garneau who ruled the evening with two game-stopping interceptions.

Second year Head Coach Orion Binney said, “We played our best football today and are looking ahead to next week’s game with Newfound. The players worked hard this year and they want this win. They want it big.”
