LANGDON, N.H. – Wow! What a wonderful 2018-19 season for the Fall Mountain Unified Varsity Wildcats. This was their second consecutive year going undefeated in their division. They’re already taking a look at next year’s season.
Coach Amanda Chamberlain commented, “We are losing four super skilled ball players: an athlete in Zach Blair who is a three-point shot wizard and two player partners, Mason Lantz and Hannah McCormick, who keep the game going – setting up plays and rebounding! They will be greatly missed.”
This year brought in some real great barn burning games with Hinsdale, Keene, Newport, and Stevens out of Claremont. They were definitely games worth attending from the spectators’ point of view and, without a doubt, from the players from both sides of the court.
Coach Smokey Aumand stated, “When you wanted to enjoy and be a fan of a neck-and-neck game with huge three-pointers, tremendous team playing – assisting each other, bounce passing to open players, and looking to share in the glory of victory – you had to come out to a Fall Mountain Unified Basketball game this year.”
These athletes now have played three seasons together and are looking for another big championship in 2019-20. The team is still a huge nucleus of outstanding players who can run, dribble, pass, rebound, and score like there’s no tomorrow.
Watch out southwest New Hampshire because here we come.
