SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Close to 300 people attended this year’s Springfield Schools PTA Breakfast with Santa event, raising over $1,500. The event featured a pancake, bacon, and eggs breakfast where children could visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as the Elf Workshop. This year’s Elf Workshop included stories from Michelle Stinson Springfield’s Children’s librarian, crafts from All-4-One after school program, and the Art Gym.

All five of Springfield’s School Board members were on hand to flip pancakes and serve up the eggs. Student volunteers from River Valley Technical Center and Springfield High School helped in the kitchen and with crafts. RVTC chef and faculty Dave Groenewald led the kitchen team.

“It is so great that so many people and businesses from our community were able to support this event,” says Peggy Bosley, event chair. “With all of this support, we are able to make this event an affordable, fun morning out for families to enjoy some holiday spirit.”
