Black River Middle School semi-formal dance

Black River Middle School students dressed up for an evening of pizza and dancing. Photo provided.

LUDLOW, Vt. – Recently, on a cool spring evening, energy and excitement levels were high as Black River Middle School students came together for a special night. They enjoyed a pizza dinner at Village Pizza before going to the Ballard-Hobart American Legion Family Post 36 for an evening of dancing.

Thank you Village Pizza owner, Dave, for treating the students to dinner and to the awesome staff for getting us fed and off to the dance quickly. Thanks also to Bonnie Tucker for getting us to our destination. Thank you to Ned Bowen and the Legion members for hosting this event.

The students were guests of the beautifully appointed function room. The room was filled with balloons donated by Lisa Schmidt and the helium donated by Okemo Mountain Resort. Thanks Abi Karner for getting the room decorated and filled with many balloons. Music and a light show was provided by Howard Paul Jr. The students made their requests and hardly anyone was sitting as they danced the night away.

Our thanks to Anne Gardner for being our photographer. And thank you to our chaperones Karen Trimboli, Brenda Reed, Jae Greineder, Ryan Boyle for keeping the evening going strong. Thanks to all the parents who provided desserts for all to enjoy.

It was a perfect night at the American Legion for this very special occasion. This school event is supported and funded by BRMSHS Booster Club.
