Save Your Ass Long Ear Rescue holds 11th annual benefit show

ALSTEAD, N.H. – Come meet some adorable donkeys, admire some dapper mules, and for just one dollar, kiss the irresistible mammoth donkey, Louise, at Save Your Ass Long Ear Rescue’s 11th annual fall benefit show at Millot Green in Alstead, N.H., Saturday, Oct. 13. The show grounds will open at 9 a.m., and give or take a little bit because everyone will be on “donkey time,” the first class will start around 10 a.m.

The show is free and open to the public and will offer the opportunity to see donkeys and mules in action in a variety of competition classes including showing in hand, under saddle, trail class, driving, costume class, and the very entertaining coon jumping contest. The event will also have some vendors including a food stand and the very popular Save Your Ass Long Ear Rescue booth, which features a huge inventory of donkey related merchandise from coffee mugs to sweatshirts, tea towels, and T-shirts. Come and do some early Christmas shopping knowing that all proceeds go toward helping the region’s donkeys and mules!
