CHESTER, Vt. – Lucille F. DeRosia, 83, of Grafton Street, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019. Lucille was born in Wilmington, Vt. Dec. 6, 1935, the daughter of Doris (Batchelder) and Henry Forrest Jr. She attended school in Wilmington and graduated from Brattleboro High School. She served 19 years as the Andover town clerk and also worked as a receptionist Green Mountain at Fox Run in Ludlow and Readex Micro Print in Chester. Lucille was a member and president of the American Legion Lady’s Auxiliary in Chester and a member of the Ladies Guild of St John’s Church in Enterprise, Ala.
In December of 1954, she married Fredrick DeRosia who survives. Also surviving are her sons David and wife Linda of Worcester, Mass., Gary and wife Edie of Bellows Falls, Vt., and Mark and wife Kate of Chester; her grandchildren Richard Ritenour, Kim DeRosia Thayer, Heather DeRosia, Jennifer DeRosia, Jessie DeRosia, and Allie DeRosia; her great-grandchildren Julia Lopez, Charlie Ritenour, Lillian Flick, Marcus Flick, and Shane Flick; and her great-great-granddaughter Maya Lopez. She is predeceased by her parents and her daughter-in-law Amy.
There will be a graveside service in the St. Michael’s Cemetery in Brattleboro, Vt. in the spring; date to be announced.
