LUDLOW, Vt. – Lawrence R. Gray of Ludlow passed away at his home June 30, 2018.
Lawrence graduated from GMUHS in 1976. Lawrence served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne from 1976 to 1996, earning several awards and medals including the Bronze Star. He was also retired from the Rutland Regional Correction Facility where he worked as a guard.
Lawrence was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, hunting all over the country and beyond. Lawrence also enjoyed playing poker, cribbage, and Yahtzee, anything to take your money…
Survivors include his daughter Crystal Mulherin (Charles); sons Larry Gray II (Missy) and Lloyd Gray (Jenny); sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Gray, Cindy Bowen (Ned), Heather Woodell (Chris); stepmother Joan Pelkey; special companion Patti Potter; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Lawrence is predeceased by his parents Lloyd Pelkey and Gail Primrose Pelkey, brother Bill Gray, and nephew Matthew Wentz.
A celebration of Lawrence’s life will be held at his home at 263 Route 100 South Saturday, July 7 at 11 a.m.
