WALPOLE, N.H. – Kenneth P. Parrott, 86, of Hillcrest Road passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Cheshire Medical Center. Kenneth was born in North Walpole on March 3, 1930, the son of Winfred and Frances (Stevens) Parrott. He was a resident of North Walpole his entire life. He was a graduate of Bellows Falls High School, class of 1950.
“Harpo” in his younger years enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just walking in the woods of Fall Mountain. He served in both the Army and the National Guard. He worked for Moore & Thompson Paper MIII, Ted Kennedy Contractor in North Walpole, Jones & Lampson, Simmonds Precision, and Whitney Blake Company. He retired on March 30, 2001 at the age of 70.
He loved gardening, being outdoors maintaining his lawn and enjoying the wildlife. He could repair anything. He was a self-taught accomplished artist – Kenneth has painted hundreds of pictures over the years since he was in his early teens.
On June 13, 1955 he married his wife Grace E. Willard and they had 61 years together. He is survived by his children Diane Adams, Robert Parrott & wife Barbara, Lorraine Marine & husband James, Donald Parrott & wife Julie; his sister Joan Davis and brother John Parrott; his grandchildren Seth Adams, Sarah McCord, Amanda Parrott, Melanie Parrott, Elizabeth (Marine) Froese, Joshua Marine, Nicholas Parrott, Christine Parrott, and Eric Parrott; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, his brothers Donald, Clayton, and Norman, his sisters Edith Parrott and Estelle Lynch, predeceased him.
There will be calling hours 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, Vt.
