WINHALL, Vt. – George Rosenthal of Hamilton Township, N.J. and Winhall, Vt. died March 14, 2018 in Brattleboro, Vt. Rosenthal sustained injuries from an auto accident while in Vermont on July 13, 2017. Born in Romania, he was a Holocaust survivor and was grateful and proud to become a United States citizen as soon as possible. A man of strong values and deep belief in the dignity of all human beings, he believed everyone should be treated with respect and offered assistance to those in need whenever he could.
He is survived by his life partner of 42 years, Alexandria Bosna, a son Louis, daughter-in-law Maria, and grandson Daniel and his wife Mike.
Burial will take place Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Winhall Cemetery on Route 30 in the town of Winhall. A memorial service and reception will follow at the Depot Visitors Center, Route 100N at the bridge in South Londonderry, Vt.
