MOUNT HOLLY, Vt. – The Mount Holly Parent Teacher Association organized a trick-or-treating party at the Village Baptist Green in Belmont, Vt. Friday, Oct. 26. Over 75 children attended the event.
There was a free hayride provided by Tim Martin and the Mount Holly Fire Department. Local community members opened their doors to trick-or-treaters and handed out candy and other sweet treats.
The event was organized for the first year by the PTSA, who took the reigns from the Mount Holly Community Association.
“I think the PTSA really pulled together and did a great job organizing and working as a team to continue the traditions the MHCA has put together. I am really proud of the work all the parents did to continue this fun and safe tradition,” said Megan Harlow Jenkins, PTSA vice president. “I was also really excited that we were able to get help from both the MHCA and the Fire Department, along with donations for our costume contest from the Green Mountain Sugar House, Mojo’s, and the Belmont Store. Getting that support from the community and the fact that people were willing to provide candy and decorate their homes just means so much to us.”
