Rockingham Recycling Center requires access sticker

ROCKINGHAM, Vt. – The Rockingham Recycling Center would like to remind all users that an access sticker is required to use the facility. This includes use for recycling items, trash disposal, or using the exchange building.

Access stickers can be obtained at the Rockingham Town Clerk or at the cashier’s building at the recycling facility. Please note that we will not be accepting several items that have previously been accepted for exchange inside or outside of the building. There is a signboard stating the items no longer accepted: vacuums, toasters, toaster ovens, upholstered furniture of any kind, or items with missing or broken pieces to mention a few. There are printed sheets stating the items not accepted available at the facility. Please check with an attendant before leaving any items inside or outside of the building.

We remind users not to park in front of the building currently marked with “no parking” signs as this blocks traffic. Please observe the one way traffic pattern. We have had several mishaps. Signage has been installed to direct users to the appropriate compacter.

As of July 1, 2019, if you do not have an access sticker displayed, you will not be allowed to dispose of recyclables, trash, construction and demolition debris, brush, or use the exchange building.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we all adjust to the new procedures. Our attendants are always willing to help with your questions.
