Londonderry cemeteries closed for the season

LONDONDERRY, Vt. – The Cemetery Commission of the town of Londonderry announces that the town cemeteries are closed for burials for the season as of Nov. 1. Flags will be removed from veterans’ graves after Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Any items remaining on graves after Nov. 15 will be removed as part of fall and winter cleanup. Commission members thank everyone for their assistance in this matter and their cooperation.

Also, the Cemetery Commission asks that if anyone knows of a veteran’s grave that does not have a veteran marker, or a marker that is in poor repair, would they please contact the Town Office at 802-824-3356. New veteran markers have been acquired and will be placed on graves in the spring. Also, the Cemetery Commission would like to alert members of the community that gravestones have been cleaned this past year.

Thank you to all from the Cemetery Commission for the town of Londonderry.
