HCRS to host “Suicide: The Ripple Effect” film screening

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. – Health Care and Rehabilitation Services, southeastern Vermont’s community mental-health agency, is pleased to announce they will be hosting a showing of the new film by Kevin Hines, called “Suicide: The Ripple Effect,” at the Hooker-Dunham Theater in Brattleboro Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The film chronicles the story of Kevin Hines, who at age 19 attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Since then, Kevin has been on a mission to use his story to help others stay alive and find recovery.

Following the presentation, a Q&A discussion will take place regarding the film and suicide prevention. This event is being hosted in honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
