LUDLOW, Vt. – Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts is pleased to announce that Nancy Monson, a fiber and multimedia artist from Connecticut, is our Artist-in-Residence for the month of July. Monson is a past student at the Fletcher Farm School and the recipient of a post-graduate certificate in Fiber Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Her work has been featured in many exhibitions, including one this past year at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Mass. She is also a widely published writer on the topics of wellness and creativity, and the author of “Craft to Heal: Soothing Your Soul with Sewing, Painting, and Other Pastimes,” which explores the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of pursuing a creative activity you love.
In addition to working on personal projects in the areas of silk painting, quilting, felting, quilling, and painting while at Fletcher Farm School, Monson will be teaching Collage Your Heart Out, Tuesday, July 16, from 6-8 p.m. For more information, go to www.fletcherfarm.org/classes/fine_arts/A16.html.
