Castleton Video Festival award winners announced

CASTLETON, Vt. – Castleton University is pleased to announce the winners of the 23rd annual Castleton VideoFest held Thursday, May 10 in the Casella Theater.

High school students throughout Vermont and the surrounding area submitted original work in the following categories: documentary, animation, narrative fiction, and public service announcements/advertisements.

First place from each category receives a $1,000 scholarship to Castleton University communication or theater arts program.


The winning video for the documentary category was “All in Order” by Nick Fish, Dan Denton, and Logan Moore of Stafford Video and Multimedia Communications program.


The winning video for the advertising and public service announcement category was “Driving Behavior is Learned at Home” by Tanner Bischofberger of River Valley Technical Center.

Narrative fiction

The winning video for the narrative fiction category was “My Leather Jacket” by Jon Lenser, Emerson Palmer, and Joey Nakamura of Stafford Video and Multimedia Communications program.


The winning video in the animation category was “Olivia’s Dilemma” by Cassie Dupont, Valerie Nikolic, Montana Stomski, and Pam Bettis of Poultney High School.
