LUDLOW, Vt. – Black River Middle High School would like to thank the community and local businesses that helped make our sixth annual A Taste of Fall event successful.

This year, we welcomed La Tavola and Du Jour VT to the tasting and had continued support from Squeels on Wheels, The Killarney, Big Eyes Bakery, Sweet Surrender, Sam’s Steakhouse, Mr. Darcy’s, Stemwinder, Coleman Brook Tavern, Castle Hill Resort and Spa, Murdock’s On the Green, American Pie, and Mojo’s Cafe.

As in years past, a competition was held in which the tasters voted on the best sweet taste, the best savory taste, and the best taste of fall. Big Eyes Bakery took home the award for “Best Sweet Taste” with their Pumpkin Surprise. Coleman Brook Tavern’s Sea Hog Chowder took home both the “Best Savory Taste” and the “Best Overall Taste of Fall.”

With over 80 community members partaking in the event, BRHSMS was able to donate $829.50 to Black River Good Neighbors. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
