BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – AARP free tax prep is available starting Monday, Feb. 3 for low- and moderate-income residents of Vermont and Walpole, N.H. at the Bellows Falls Area Senior Center. Tax-Aide counselors are volunteers who are trained each year on state and federal tax regulations and are certified by the IRS to provide free tax preparation services. Volunteers will be available Mondays and Thursdays Feb. 3 through April 9 by appointment only.
Crop Your Heart Out event to finish scrapbooking projects will be Feb. 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the senior center. Bring a scrapbook, refill pages, pictures, adhesives, tools, other cropping materials such as paper, cardstock, crafting supplies and a bag lunch. The Valentine’s Day lunch will be held Friday, Feb. 11 at 11:30 a.m. RSPV by Feb. 4. The senior center will be closed Feb. 17 for President’s Day.
Winter is upon us. Please remember if the WNESU school district is closed due to bad weather, so are we. Call the senior center at 802-463-3907. The message will be updated by 8:30 a.m. if we are closed.
