LONDONDERRY, Vt. – Londonderry Arts and Historical Society’s summer history exhibit opens Saturday, June 22. “Down the River” explores the properties along the West River before the Ball Mountain Dam was built. “Lowell Lake,” where Londonderry’s first home sites were located, features photos from the collection that rarely have been displayed.
Iconic Everett Vaile reprints are also for sale at the Custer Sharp House this summer. From 1899-1947, Vaile produced a vast collection of glass plates in mostly South Londonderry. It is a wonderful chronicle of life from more than 100 years ago.
The Custer Sharp House is located at 2461 Middletown Rd. It is open Wednesday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, go to www.lahsvt.org, call Annie Campbell at 802-856-7284, or email Londonderryahs@gmail.com.
