Reversing Global Warming: Introduction To Drawdown

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Celebrate Earth Day by learning how to help reverse global warming at the Springfield Town Library. Local farmer and activist Laurel Green will lead a two-hour workshop called “Reversing Global Warming: Introduction to Drawdown” Wednesday, April 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Springfield Town Library. This workshop is designed to shift the conversation around global warming and is useful to anyone interested in climate crisis issues. It is meant to give people an encouraging place to stand and a clear idea of what actions they can take to contribute to reversing global warming. Laurel would especially like to have young people and adults of all ages participate.

The workshop, developed by the Pachmama Alliance in collaboration with the Drawdown Project, includes several short videos, listening exchanges, and group activities. A handout with 100 Drawdown Solutions will be available to take home. “Introduction to Drawdown” fits well with local climate action groups, energy committees, and church climate action teams.

The Springfield Town Library is located at 43 Main Street. This program is free, accessible to people with disabilities, and open to the public. For more information, contact Laurel at 802-275-4646 or email or contact the Springfield Town Library at 802-885-3108 or
