LUDLOW, Vt. – Black River Good Neighbor Services hosted their 9th annual Stick Season Social Saturday night, Nov. 3 at Sam’s Steakhouse in Ludlow. It was a night of excellent food, three different raffle opportunities, and lots of socializing. It was also a sold-out, fundraising success.

Area businesses and individuals donated over 130 items or services that were awarded either through the silent auction, door prizes via the event ticket, or additionally purchased raffle tickets.

According to BRGNS Director Peter LaBelle, “We are always pleased and genuinely grateful for the tremendous generosity of people in the Black River valley. The best part of the evening is seeing so many friends and neighbors gathered for a good cause.”

BRGNS provides food, clothing, and financial assistance to those in need in Ludlow, Cavendish, Proctorsville, Mount Holly, Belmont, and Plymouth. For more information, visit
