My name is Rex and I am a 1-year-old Lab mix. I came all the way from Georgia to Vermont to find a loving home. I am having a bit of a hard time meeting new human friends at the shelter, so if you would like to meet me, please call to set up an appointment.
Coming from such a high intake shelter, we are unsure of my history. I seem to be very timid and fearful of men especially and have warmed up quicker to women. Once we are friends, we will be friends for life! I need a home that is patient, experienced, and willing to work with my fearful behavior around new people.
Food is my best friend and I will sit for cookies! I love going for walks on my easy walk harness and playing in the pen with my dog walker friends.
I may be best in a home with a confident dog who can show me that humans are great! I would need to have a doggy introduction before going home though. As far as felines go, I am a bit afraid of them but not aggressive. I would be fine in a home with a dog-savvy cat who is friendly!
Due to my shy demeanor, I would prefer older children. Do you think that you have the perfect home for me? Schedule an appointment to meet me today.
