My name’s Brooks, and I’m a 1-year-old neutered male. Before I came to Lucy Mackenzie, I used to hang around outdoors in somebody’s yard. There was no real shelter there, and it really was like living in the wild. Since moving into the shelter, life has definitely slowed down for me and things have gotten a lot calmer. I’m still timid, especially around humans, but I’m getting more and more used to them every day.
I’m very good friends with a lot of the other cats here, too, and one day I wouldn’t mind living alongside one or two in a proper home. I’ve not made friends with any dogs yet, but if they were low-energy and friendly enough, I would definitely consider living with one in a new home as well. The same with children if they are gentle enough with me! Anyway, I know the adventures I once had outside have now come to an end, but I really am so excited for the new adventures that I know are ahead of me.
