Lenny Solomon at Stage 33 Live

August 28, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

$10

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – Singer/songwriter/guitarist Lenny Solomon’s style has been compared to early Bob Dylan, Guy Clark, and Jerry Jeff Walker. In the late ’60s he was a fixture at the fabled Idler Coffeehouse in Harvard Square, Cambridge, a training ground for songwriters like Geoff Bartley, Paul Rishell, Spider John Koerner, Bob McCarthy, and Ric Ocasek. During these years he shared bills with many touring performers including Chris Smither, Carolyn Hester, Bonnie Raitt, and Spider John.

He stepped off the circuit for a couple decades to raise a family and work in environmental research, but kept honing his songwriting chops. He re-entered the performance arena in the late ’90s and has since released five albums and won a dozen songwriting awards.

“Lenny Solomon’s vocals remind me most of John Prine, as does his writing, but there are also elements of the old country and western singers like Merle Travis, Stonewall Jackson, Roy Acuff or Doc Watson.” — Soundbyte Magazine

“Solomon has been at this business of words, emotions, stories, and music for a good four decades. His experience shows in how he delivers each song with no more and no less than what each needs. And in the case of Lenny Solomon, each song still has a lot going on inside of it. ” — Bill Copeland

Music at 4:00 on Sunday, August 28 — suggested donation $10 per person, advance donations made through stage33live.com will have chairs saved for them. Walk-ups are also welcome. Seating is limited to 40.

The event will be recorded and filmed.

Stage 33 Live is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all donations are deductible to the fullest extent. Volunteers run the thing from stem to stern.
