Kirsten Manville and Tim Foley at Stage 33 Live in Bellows Falls

April 10, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – Kirsten Manville and Tim Foley will co-headline the Stage 33 Live listening room at 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls on Sunday, April 10 in a limited-seating 3 p.m. matinee. The performances will be recorded and filmed. This is a recommended donation for the performers; advance donations through stage33live.com double as chair reservations.

Singer/songwriter Kirsten Manville’s album Some People Sing was a Metronome Magazine top-five pick, and she was subsequently featured on the cover. Her song “…but Down” was an Alternate Root Magazine top-ten. A blend of Americana, folk, country, and blues, her songs about finding and losing love, hard times, and small pleasures feel like they may have come straight from journal entries. “With naturally gifted vocal command, Manville explores the intricacies of love, life, and the finer things with a sharp eye on details.” — Douglas Sloan, Metronome Magazine

Tim Foley used to live in New Orleans and his music is heavily influenced by that city’s traditions of experimentation and fusion — gravitating toward blues, jazz, folk, classical, and funk in a variety of tunings and styles ranging from upbeat foot-stompers to melodic soundscapes.

Kirsten and Tim will perform both separately and together. Seating is limited to 40.

The COVID-19 protocol will be the public guidelines in effect on show day. At this writing, that guidance is that masks are optional, although that may change without notice. Respect those who choose to mask, and give them social distance. Seating will be a minimum of eight feet from the stage and set up in pods of two. If you wish to make a custom pod for your party, arrive early to do so. People who have already arrived and have arranged their seating will not be expected to move, and their perimeter should be honored.

Stage 33 Live is a casual and intimate industrial-rustic listening room in a former factory hosting local, regional, and national performances and presentations of original material. No bar or kitchen, the stage is the mission; coffee / soda / juice / water and weird snacks available by donation. Stage 33 Live gratefully acknowledges the help of so many individuals without whom none of this would be happening, and institutional support this season from The Island Corporation, the Vermont Arts Council, Ben & Jerry’s Foundation, Covered Bridge Cookies, the Bellows Falls Opera House, and the Rockingham Arts & Museum Project that helps fund improvements and maintenance, and generally smooths out a lot of the rough edges. Stage 33 Live is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all donations are deductible to the fullest extent. Volunteers run the thing from stem to stern.
