Grafton Cornet Band concert on the Grafton Library lawn
July 21 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pmFree
GRAFTON, Vt. – The Grafton Cornet Band invites you to a free summer concert on Sunday, July 21 from 5 – 6 p.m. the Grafton Library Lawn. It’s a traditional community band concert with familiar and upbeat music for the whole family in beautiful Grafton. Bring chairs or a blanket for comfort and maybe a picnic. For rain, the band plays in the historic Grafton Community Church.
The band keeps its original 1867 name even though all wind instruments are now included. Any band player is welcome to play along with the band–just wear a white shirt and come to the rehearsal an hour before the concert (4:00). The band’s new director, Glen D’Eon, is New Hampshire’s 2017 Distinguished Music Educator of the Year, recognizing his success as Director of Bands at Fall Mountain Regional High School.
There’s a lot to do in Grafton on a summer Sunday, including hiking, shopping, galleries, museums, and good eating. See GraftonBand.org for more information.
