It goes without saying that the Rockingham Old home Days annual Fireworks Show is something extremely special to my family and me. It was always the highlight of my father, Lenny Lisai’s year when he was alive. He would work endlessly to raise the funds needed purely through donations from the community, and then on the day of the show, tirelessly set up the show and light off each shell by hand with his crew of family and friends. This was something we all rejoiced in with him each year.
This was an event Lenny was extremely proud to provide to the community he loved so much. I continue to carry on tradition for the very same reasons.
I was to say thank you to Vermont Rail and their staff. Over the years whether we were shooting the show off down below the Arch Bridge, or now, at our current location, the staff that I have worked with has been tremendous. Without their support each year, this show would not happen.
Second, I would like to thank all of the businesses and residents of the surrounding area for their generous support and donations. Also I would like to thank the Bellows Falls Police, the Fire Department, Golden Cross Ambulance, and the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce for all their support. And special thanks to all of the collectors that donate their time and effort the night of the show in their special tie-dyed t-shirts to collect donations on foot.
And of course, last but not least, North Star Fireworks of Montpelier, Vt., for a fantastic show every year. Again, my thanks to so many. See you in 2019.
