Springfield on the Move thanks community for Upcycle

Designated downtown organization Springfield On the Move was excited to present a live auction on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Hartness House. Auctioneer, John Hall, AEA, auctioned repurposed, refurbished, and re-imagined items by local crafters. Mascoma Bank led the way of community support as a premier sponsor of this event, while gold sponsors included HB Energy Solutions and Von Bargen’s Jewelry. Black River Produce, Claremont Savings Bank, Community Bank, Gurney Brothers, and One Credit Union joined as silver sponsors; and IVEK and Vermont Packinghouse were bronze sponsors.

Auction item donors included Jerry Lamkin, Barbara Sanderson, Von Bargen’s, Woodstock Inn, Cynthia Martin, John Hall, Gil Perry, Dan O’Donnell, Black River Produce, SOM, and Samantha Bond.

Themed gift baskets were contributed by John and Corky Bond, Melanie Davis, Bonny and Peter Andrews, Margery Collins, Deanna and Buddy Dexter, Carol and Bill Eramo, Sue and Tom Hernon, Carolyn and Rich Lane, Sandy and Peter MacGillivray, Walter Martone and Marc Kimball, New Nails, Springfield Garden Club, Trout River Brewing Company, Vermont Vines on the River, and Alan and Val Woodbury.

Upcycle Springfield proceeds will go toward downtown improvement as our town begins many exciting projects.

SOM would like to thank the Hartness House for welcoming us to their venue, our donors, and all the artists and craftspeople who donated their amazing items. Also, of course, we thank the many bidders for a fun and lively afternoon.
