SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The Springfield Easter Fest will be held Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Riverside Park beside the Riverside Middle School in Springfield, Vt. Last year, over 1,000 people of all ages attended, including 400 children with their parents and grandparents.
This year, the weather is looking good and the park is drying out. We expect to be able to hold all of our activities, including the egg hunts, outdoors. There will be free food, music, and games starting at 11 a.m. and the egg hunts will start at noon. There will be six different age groups for the egg hunts for toddlers through adults.
Entry tickets are free and can be put into raffles for a chance on one of the door prizes. Door prizes can be claimed after the egg hunts and winners must be present to claim their prize.
Nine area churches have been meeting together monthly for the past year to plan the Easter Fest. Our theme this year is “He Lives! Jesus died for You because He loves You.” The goal of our area churches is to show that God cares about each person and that each person is important. Your neighborhood churches are here to provide you encouragement and support in both good and challenging times.
We want to thank the following businesses for providing financial support and prizes: Claremont Savings Bank, Finn & Stone Inc., NAPA Auto Parts, Alauras New Nails, Headquarters for Men, Woodbury Florist, Inn at Weathersfield, Springfield Cinemas 3, and Boccaccio’s.
