LUDLOW, Vt. – Black River Academy Museum will be hosting it’s second annual gala event, “A Night at the Museum,” on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the museum, 14 High St.
Come and enjoy wine, beer, generous hors d’oeuvres catered by Mr. Darcy’s, and live music while mingling and bidding on the wide-ranging array of silent auction items and experiences. Music this year will be provided by Jon Clinch, noted writer/songwriter and guitarist.
The excellent silent auction offers a wide range of items and experiences. The local businesses have been very generous in providing items and certificates for the auction. Big Eyes Bakery, Sweet Surrender, Benson’s, Subway, Cota & Cota, and Shaws are a few of the local businesses who have contributed. Coolidge State Historic Homestead and Shelburne Museum have also generously donated items to the silent auction.
This year there will also be a live auction with special items, including a three-night stay in a New York apartment with an additional $500 donated for entertainment. Those who wish to travel further afield may choose a weeks stay in St. Thomas at a beachfront condo.
There is a fee for tickets, which includes one complimentary glass of wine or beer. Refills may be purchased. Tickets are available at The Book Nook, the Wine and Cheese Depot, and at the Museum. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door on the night of the event.
