CLAREMONT, N.H. –Stevens High School, the Claremont Opera House, and World Under Wonder have teamed to produce the classic tale of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit.” Bilbo Baggins sets out on an adventure with Gandalf the Grey and the party of dwarves to defeat the dragon of the Lonely Mountain to reclaim the home and wealth of the dwarves. This is a great community production directed by Larissa Cahill and the youth director Hannah Lane McFadden. Sean Edward Roberts from World Under Wonder serves as mentor to Lane.

The three organizations have brought together many fantastical costumes to be used in this show. Characters will not just use the stage but will, at times, come from or exit to the audience. Special effects such as projections and a haze machine will be used in the show. Youth Sound Manager, Adam Moody, provides the theatrical soundtrack for the show.

The performances are on Nov. 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. There will be concessions available a half-hour before the show in the lobby of the Claremont Opera House. Ticket sales, concessions, and all donations will go towards all three organizations.

Advanced tickets are for sale at the Claremont Opera House website For more information about World Under Wonder, visit their website at or check them out on Facebook.
