Chrome & Craft Festival and Cruise-In

LUDLOW, Vt. – The Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce announces their annual Chrome & Craft Festival at the Fletcher Farm School on Route 103 in Ludlow Saturday Aug. 17, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. General admission is free.

This annual vehicle and craft show begins with a Cruise-In Friday, Aug. 16, from 5-8 p.m., at Benson’s Chevrolet in Ludlow, the title sponsor of the festival. Cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles are all welcome to showcase their vehicles. There is a rain date of the following Friday, Aug. 23 for the Cruise-In only.

The Chrome & Craft Festival the next day begins with a free breakfast for car show registrants only, provided by Aroma Catering. All makes and models are welcome. There will be two classes of vehicles 1989 and younger and 1990 and newer. Winners will be selected by both participant and spectator judging. Trophies will be awarded to the top three vehicles in each class.

New this year, there will also be a trophy for a young vehicle owner under 30 and the winning motorcycle. There will also be an award for the greatest car club participation. In addition, another new feature this year is a car corral for selling your vehicle. The first 100 vehicle participant registrants will receive a goodie bag and dash plaque. Registration for vehicle participation can be paid at the gate.

The Fletcher Farm School’s 28th annual Late Summer Craft Festival, in conjunction with the car show, will feature over 60-plus of New England’s finest artists and craftsmen exhibiting top quality wares. Juried crafts will include water and oil paintings, folk art, primitives, jewelry, woodworking, photography, fabric products, pottery, handmade soaps, maple syrup, hand woven items, and much more. Charles Dion will demonstrate the art of chainsaw carving. Children’s activities will feature face painting and beading. Raffles will benefit the Fletcher Farm School. The Society Craft & Gift Shoppe is also open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food concessions will include Goodman’s American Pie wood fired pizzas, Du Jour Restaurant tacos, and The Lazy Cow ice cream.
