The Combes Family Inn Bed and Breakfast is a true family inn, a century‑old farmhouse ideally suited for informal family gatherings, reunions and small, intimate weddings. The inn is beautifully set on 50 acres of rolling meadows and woods with spectacular views of mountains and the surrounding hillsides.
The Combes Family Inn houses 11 cozy, country inspired guest rooms with private baths. All rooms are individually decorated with antiques, hand crafted needlework, antique floral prints and memorabilia. There are 6 rooms in the main farmhouse, 3 of which are suites for families.
Your day at the inn begins with a hearty country breakfast that will fuel you through even the most grueling day of skiing, biking, walking, or touring. Bill serves up his famous pancakes, eggs, French toast or waffles, ham, sausage, or bacon (the menu rotates through the week – always pancakes dripping with Vermont’s famous maple syrup on Sundays), toast, homemade jam, juice, assorted hot and cold cereals, and steaming cup of your favorite morning beverage round out your morning. When the dinner bell rings at 7 o’clock, Ruth serves the first of a three-course, home-cooked dinner. People ask what type of cooking the inn is noted for and Ruth replies, “It’s like going to your grandmother’s house for Sunday dinner.”
