LUDLOW, Vt. – With seven weeks in the books for the Okemo Valley Golf Club, and at the midway point as of June 22, Diamond Realty, has gained control of top spot and the race for the Commissioner’s Cup. The big news of the night, for the second straight week, there was a hole in, as John Smith recorded his second career ace on the 4th hole, using a six iron, witnessed by Ed Richter, Chris Garvey and Terry Thayne. Taking top honors for the night was Stryhas Builders, as Casey Stryhas, Bob Higgins, John Boehrer and Bob Herbst won 20.5 holes. Finishing second was Green Mountain Appraisals, as Clemente Delarosa, Frank Heald, Larry Plumb and Rich Russo combined to win 19.5 holes. Finishing third and making a climb up the leaderboard was Built Rite MFG., as Ed Richter, John Smith, Brian Halligan and Chuck Sweetman combined to win 19.5 holes. Closest to the pin the 8th hole was PJ Garvey.

Okemo Valley Golf Club is Vermont’s first heathland-style golf course and was designed according to the traditions of the game.
