LUDLOW, Vt. – Two lucky golfers made holes-in-one at Okemo Valley Golf Club during the month of July. Their names will be engraved on a plaque that hangs inside the Okemo Valley Golf Club clubhouse to honor those who have had the exhilarating experience of making a hole-in-one at OVGC.
On July 1, Pat O’Malley, of Stuart, Fla., aced the fourth hole, using an 8-iron from the white tee, for a 156-yard hole-in-one. Joan Schoettle, Miriam Carmody and Jack Carmody witnessed the amazing feat.
Two weeks later, on July 14, Tim Meckel, of Wellesley, Mass., aced the same hole using his 9-iron – also from the white tee for a 156-yard hole-in-one. Witnesses to the exciting event were Stephanie Meckel and Madeline Connelly.
